This was an easy shoot as it was a shoot for the model, who
in fact asked me to do the makeup for her portfolio. This worked out well for
both of us because I got my image for my final major project and she got her
portfolio created. Using a professional photographer also meant my image got
edited for me, I did however get the original images, but I was extremely happy
with the way Kelly edited it so I was more than happy to use the finished
image. The makeup and hair for this shoot was simple as the main focus was the
tattoos, the makeup was already planned out so all I had to do was follow the
brief, which worked out well for me as the model didn’t want an extreme makeup
so the attention was kept on the tattoos. One problem however was getting the
final images, as I produced them in Leeds just before Easter I couldn’t just go
and collect them; I have to wait for the images to be sent to me. One week turned into two, when I started
panicking. These images were the only ones I had left to but in my book to complete
it. Luckily after weeks of nagging I finally got sent the images, and was more
than happy to include them in my book. This did teach me to organize better
with my contacts and also if you ask enough times it does eventually work.
