On Friday I ventured down to the fashion interchange @ the Hilton hotel, that was organized by the fashion management and marketing 3rd years. I found it to be extremely helpful with my website, although my website is not fashion based the guest speakers; Karronnie Robertson, Jamie Smith, Stephen Laundy, Katie Friedlander-Boss and Sarah Jones were very helpful when explaining how the layouts of websites have to match your chosen market base.
Overall I learnt a lot about of the fashion industry and also what it’s exactly like to work out in the industry. Even though it was mainly about visual merchandising and e-commerce it helped me get a better insight into the industry as you do have a set job to do and have to impress more people than just yourself.
