Overall this was my favourite shoot to do, the model worked
extremely well with the image guidelines that I explained to her. All I really knew with this shoot was the
makeup and hair I wanted and the fact we were going to use a make which had on
the same makeup as the model. The outcome of the layout of the image was yet to
be decided. We tried a number of different backdrops, angles and facial
expressions. Some laughing, some crying, some screaming and some angry, a lot
of emotion got let out in this shoot, although because the model has a drama
background it was all fun and games. In the end I decided on a screaming
picture, as the scream was real it looks effective for the image, and relates
to the quote nicely. Not much retouching was done with this image as it simply
didn’t need it, the lighting was setup perfectly as I followed someone else’s
shoot, so some of the production was done for me. One problem I did find with
this shoot was the hair... getting it to stand up off the head was the tricky
part, I originally wanted it sticking up right off the head, however it didn’t
matter what I did it just kept falling down. The biggest I got it was the
highest it would go, but over all I think it still looked effective and worked
with the overall image.
